Welcome to AwayMed. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AwayMed website, services, and platform (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

AwayMed LLC ("AwayMed," "we," "our," or "us") is a U.S.-based wellness travel coordination platform. We help patients access elective medical and wellness services at partner facilities abroad by providing travel logistics support, procedure coordination, and flexible payment options — all bundled into a single wellness travel package.

AwayMed is not a medical provider, does not provide medical care or medical advice, and does not employ or control any healthcare providers. All medical services are provided exclusively by independent third-party clinics and licensed healthcare professionals.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. What We Provide

AwayMed coordinates wellness travel packages that may include procedure coordination with partner clinics, travel logistics and pre-trip planning support, flexible monthly payment options through third-party financing, and pre- and post-procedure care coordination.

AwayMed acts solely as a coordination and payment facilitation platform. We may act as the merchant of record for payments made through our platform and remit payments to clinics in accordance with agreed arrangements.

AwayMed does not provide medical services, recommend or select medical treatments, diagnose conditions, provide medical opinions, or control clinic operations or medical outcomes.

4. Wellness Travel Packages and Pricing

Each wellness travel package is priced based on the clinic's quoted procedure cost, plus AwayMed's coordination and processing fees. Specifically, the total package price includes the following components:

Clinic Procedure Cost: The price quoted by your clinic for the medical or wellness procedure itself.

Coordination Fee: A fixed service fee that covers AwayMed's procedure coordination, partner-facility liaison, travel logistics planning, and pre- and post-procedure support. This fee varies based on the total procedure cost.

Processing Fee: A percentage-based fee applied to cover payment processing, platform administration, and financing facilitation.

The total package price — including all fees — will be clearly displayed before you complete payment. By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge and agree that the total amount includes AwayMed's service fees and will be higher than the clinic's direct procedure price. You agree to pay the full amount shown at checkout.

AwayMed is committed to transparent pricing. No hidden fees will be added after the total is presented to you at checkout.

5. Payment Options and Financing

AwayMed offers flexible monthly payment options through Klarna, a third-party financing provider. Klarna allows eligible patients to split the total package cost into manageable monthly payments.

Important points about financing:

Financing eligibility is determined entirely by Klarna and is subject to Klarna's own approval process, credit evaluation, and terms of service. AwayMed does not guarantee approval for any financing option.

If approved, your financing agreement is between you and Klarna. Klarna's own terms and conditions govern your payment obligations, interest (if any), late fees, and repayment schedule.

The total financed amount may be higher than paying the clinic directly due to AwayMed's coordination and processing fees. This is disclosed before payment.

Clinics are paid in full by AwayMed before services are rendered. Patients may continue making monthly payments to Klarna after their procedure, depending on the payment structure selected.

Payment options are not loans unless explicitly stated by Klarna.

6. No Medical Advice

Information provided by AwayMed is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. All medical decisions must be made directly between you and your healthcare provider.

AwayMed does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or provide medical opinions. Any information we share about procedures, clinics, or wellness travel is for coordination purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical advice.

7. Service Timeline

After you complete payment, AwayMed will coordinate with your selected clinic to confirm your procedure details. Estimated timelines for procedures are provided by the clinic and may vary. AwayMed will communicate any scheduling updates to you promptly. If a procedure date cannot be confirmed within a reasonable timeframe, AwayMed will work with you to find an alternative arrangement or process a refund where applicable.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on the clinic, the procedure, the timing of cancellation, and the stage of coordination.

Important information:

Some payments may be non-refundable once coordination or clinic commitments have begun. Any applicable cancellation terms will be disclosed before payment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact AwayMed as soon as possible at [email protected] or +1 (888) 857-4965.

If AwayMed is unable to deliver the coordinated services for any reason within AwayMed's control, you will be entitled to a full refund of AwayMed's coordination and processing fees.

If you have financed your package through Klarna, cancellation of the underlying service does not automatically cancel your Klarna payment plan. AwayMed will process any applicable refund through Klarna, which will adjust your remaining balance accordingly.

9. Disputes and Customer Support

If you experience any issue with your wellness travel package, procedure coordination, or payment, please contact AwayMed first. You can reach us at [email protected] or +1 (888) 857-4965. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 2 business days.

For disputes related to your Klarna financing or payment plan, you may also contact Klarna directly through klarna.com or the Klarna app.

10. User Conduct

You agree to use the Services lawfully and appropriately. You may not provide false or misleading information, attempt to interfere with or misuse the platform, or violate applicable laws or regulations.

AwayMed reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the AwayMed website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of AwayMed or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

AwayMed collects and processes personal information necessary to provide our Services, including your name, contact information, procedure details, and payment information. We handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

We share your information only with the parties necessary to fulfill your wellness travel package, including your selected clinic and our payment processing partners (such as Stripe and Klarna). We do not sell your personal data.

13. Limitation of Liability

AwayMed is not responsible for the acts or omissions of clinics, healthcare providers, financing providers, or other third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AwayMed's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amount of AwayMed's coordination and processing fees actually paid by you for the specific package giving rise to the claim.

AwayMed does not guarantee any particular medical outcome. All medical risks are between you and your healthcare provider.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Wyoming, unless prohibited by law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
