AwayMed LLC (“AwayMed,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a U.S.-based platform that provides payment coordination and facilitation services for patients seeking elective medical services from independent third-party clinics, including clinics located outside the United States.
AwayMed is not a medical provider, does not provide medical care or medical advice, and does not employ or control any healthcare providers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
3. Our Role
AwayMed acts solely as a payment coordination and facilitation platform.
Specifically:
We coordinate payment arrangements between patients and independent clinics
We may act as the merchant of record for payments made through our platform
We remit payments to clinics in accordance with agreed arrangements
AwayMed does not:
Provide medical services
Recommend or select medical treatments
Control clinic operations or medical outcomes
All medical services are provided exclusively by independent clinics and healthcare providers.
4. Payment Options
AwayMed may offer structured payment options, including monthly payment arrangements, to help patients manage the cost of upcoming services.
Key points:
Clinics are paid in full before services are rendered
Patients may continue making payments after their visit, depending on the payment structure
Payment options are not loans unless explicitly stated
Availability of certain payment options may vary
AwayMed does not guarantee eligibility for any particular payment option.
5. No Medical Advice
Information provided by AwayMed is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. All medical decisions must be made directly between you and your healthcare provider.
AwayMed does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments, or provide medical opinions.
6. Payments & Fees
AwayMed collects payments as the merchant of record and facilitates payment to clinics on the patient’s behalf. Any applicable service fees, coordination fees, or total amounts will be disclosed before you complete payment.
By submitting payment, you authorize AwayMed to process payments in accordance with the selected payment structure.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on the clinic, timing, and stage of coordination.
Important notes:
Some payments may be non-refundable once coordination or clinic commitments have begun
Any applicable cancellation terms will be disclosed before payment
Please contact AwayMed promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule
8. User Conduct
You agree to use the Services lawfully and appropriately. You may not:
Provide false or misleading information
Attempt to interfere with or misuse the platform
Violate applicable laws or regulations
AwayMed reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the AwayMed website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of AwayMed or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
AwayMed is not responsible for the acts or omissions of clinics, healthcare providers, or other third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AwayMed’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amount paid by you to AwayMed for the Services giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
